Here's a preview of all the different Ruffles Halter Tops. I LOVE this style with the ruffle on the bottom and top. It's so fun to wear and is extremely comfortable. Only 4 more days until everything goes on sale!

Sweetheart Tops

Here's a preview of all the different Sweetheart Tops. I love the mix and match options these tops have with several different bottoms. Only 6 more days until everything is available for purchase!

Striped Tankini Top

Here are the 4 different versions of the striped tankini top. I like how unique the large stripes are and how these tops can be paired with several different bottoms. The launch of all the swimsuits online will happen on February 22 so stay tuned!

Bottoms Preview #2

The three styles below are the rest of the bottom styles that will be offered this year. On top are the Front Seam Bottoms, which are my new favorite. The leg cut is in between that of the Basic Bottoms and the Hipster Bottoms. Having the seam in front instead of on the side makes your legs look more narrow. On the bottom left, our Swim Skirt is shown. This is a returning favorite from year's past. On the bottom right is another new styles - the Skirted Bottoms. I love this because it's a shorter skirt with bottoms built in. The tie on the side adds interest and makes this a fun option.

Sweetheart Top

This is one of the 2010 Sweetheart Top designs. It's nice because there's a contrasting color at the bust that looks great with matching bottoms. Also I love that the straps can go straight back or criss-cross, depending on your preference. For those of you that don't like anything tying around your neck, this is a great option!

Ruffles are Back

This year I knew I wanted a swimsuit top with ruffles and I'm so happy with how these turned out. This halter top features ruffles at the neckline and at the bottom of the suit. It's such a fun and flirty top ... I can't wait to wear it!

Bottoms Preview #1

This year I brought back two of the most popular bottoms from last year. The Basic Bottoms are shown on top (in aqua and red) and the Hipster Bottoms are shown below (in black and white).

I love both of these bottoms for different reasons. Both provide full coverage and are extremely comfortable. They'll also stay put in the water, which I love. The Basic Bottoms have a slightly higher cut leg so they actually make your legs look longer.
But when I'm feeling like I just want some extra coverage I usually opt for the Hipster Bottoms. They have a lower leg cut so they provide more coverage in back and in front. Both will be available in four different colors.

I also have two new bottom designs that I'm excited to show you!

Two Favorites

Here's a preview of two of my favorite suits.

The one on the left is the City Lights Tankini Top and I love it because the colors are so unique! It almost has a metallic look to it and I like the variation of a neck strap that comes from the middle of the suit.

The suit on the right is the Vixen Gathered Halter Top. I love this suit for many reasons. It's super long and has gathers all down the side which is really flattering. Also, the variation this year is that it also has ruching at the bust, which adds a lot to this suit.Stay tuned for more reveals!

Welcome!

Welcome to the essential swimwear blog! I've been really excited to start this blog so that you can keep updated with new products, special deals, etc. I also look forward to hearing your opinions on new designs, new fabrics, what you'd like to see in a swimsuit, etc.

As many of you know, for the past 2 years I've been hand-sewing each ordered swimsuit. It's been so much fun meeting and fitting many of you, but there's just no possible way I could keep up with the sewing demand. Especially with my second little one on the way (due in June) I knew there was no way I could keep sewing all the suits myself.

So it was either close the business or outsource the sewing. I am SO blessed and grateful to have found an amazing manufacturer based in China. The people I work with have been so patient, helpful and professional. Plus they have taken my patterns and turned them into beautiful, high quality swimsuits.

Just last week I received my first shipment. I'm SO excited about it!! All of the 16 different tops and 14 different bottoms look fantastic and I can't wait to share them with you.
I will officially start selling the suits on February 22, but want to give you a sneak peak of what's to come. For the next couple weeks, I'll post pictures of some of the suits ... so keep checking back!
